What are Raw Footage/Photos & Why They Matter.

Raw files are exactly that — the original, unedited video clips and photos captured straight from your session or event. When you purchase raw files from me, you'll receive a custom hard drive loaded with every single clip and photo from your wedding or branding shoot. These files are not color graded, trimmed, or edited in any way. They are intended for archival purposes — a full, unfiltered record of your day, captured exactly as it unfolded.

While edited films showcase your story through my artistic lens, raw files hold their own unique value. They allow you to revisit the in-between moments that may not have made the final cut — a laugh, a glance, a quiet second of stillness — and provide creative flexibility if you ever choose to repurpose the material in the future.

A wooden phone stand on a beige surface with a black smartphone placed on it, charging via a cable. Part of a laptop is visible on the left, and a blurred background with a vase and furniture.

Because raw files represent years of skill, experience, and artistic vision behind the camera, they are protected by copyright from the moment they're captured. Without proper licensing, footage and photos can be edited or published in ways that misrepresent the original creator's intent or style. That's why the purchase of raw files includes a copyright license — a legal agreement that grants you the right to use, store, and repurpose the material, while I retain ownership and the integrity of my work.

This protects both of us. You gain full access to your story in its most expansive form, and I retain credit for the artistry behind it.
