What is Raw Footage & Why It Matters.
Raw footage is exactly that — the original, unedited video files captured from your session or event. When you purchase raw footage from me, you’ll receive a custom hard drive loaded with every single clip from your wedding or branding shoot. These files are not color graded, trimmed, or edited in any way. They are intended for archival purposes only — a full behind-the-scenes record of your day, captured exactly as it unfolded.
While edited films showcase your story through my artistic lens, raw footage holds its own unique value. It allows you to revisit the in-between moments that may not have made the final cut — a laugh, a glance, a quiet second of stillness — and provides creative flexibility if you ever choose to repurpose the footage in the future.
Because raw footage contains years of skill, experience, and artistic vision behind the camera, it also falls under copyright protection. Without proper licensing, footage can be edited or published in a way that misrepresents the original creator’s intent or style. That’s why the purchase of raw footage includes a full copyright release — granting you legal use of the material while also honoring the work I’ve poured into capturing it.
This protects both of us. You gain full access to your story in its most expansive form, and I retain the integrity of my work and name.
